Curling truly is a sport for life. Whether you are a teenager looking for a new winter activity or an adult wanting to stay active and meet new people, our program is built for you. It doesn’t matter your age, fitness level, or athletic background, our instructors ensure a safe, accessible, and welcoming experience for everyone 12 and older.
Master the Fundamentals
Build your skills from the ground up. You don't need to know the rules to get started. Our experienced, certified coaches will teach you everything you need to confidently play the game. You will learn the core basics step-by-step, including safe ice navigation, sliding, stone delivery, effective sweeping techniques, and basic game strategy.
What to Expect on Day One
Stepping onto the curling ice for the first time is exciting, but we know trying a new sport can feel intimidating. We structure our Learn to Curl sessions to ensure you feel comfortable, safe, and ready to have fun from the moment you arrive at the rink.
Here is what a typical introductory session looks like:

Warm Welcome & Setup: Arrive a few minutes early to meet your instructors and fellow beginners. We’ll help you find the right size gripper, slider, and broom from our club supplies so you are properly equipped.

Safety & Off-Ice Orientation: Before stepping onto the rink, we cover essential ice safety tips and provide a brief, easy-to-understand overview of how the game is played.

Step-by-Step Instruction: We break down the mechanics of the game at a comfortable pace. You will practice your balance, sliding out of the hack, and releasing the stone before we introduce sweeping techniques or game strategy.

The Post-Practice Tradition: True to the spirit of our club, every session wraps up with an invitation to gather in the lounge. It’s the perfect time to grab a drink, ask questions, and get to know your new teammates.
